I didn't know any of it when I started, let alone all of it. I wrote and published Diary of the Displaced in small episodes of about 10 pages every week for a few months back in 2010/early 2011 and didn't know the next bit until I got to it. I also had the challenge of not being able to change anything after thousands of people read the original episodes!
I've been tempted to do that again with The Corridor. We will see.

I didn't realise when I wrote Chasing Spirits that I had actually written a romance novel of sorts. I didn't think it was until a number of readers emailed me to point it out (even though it's still a dark fantasy tale.)
Of course, that made me start thinking that I needed to conclude that part of the story, since I wrote it just as an account of his strange experiences and didn't even consider that Marie didn't play a big enough part.
He was going to turn up in the James Halldon books, but for an entirely different reason. I'm glad that I got to write that part of his life and I have to thank readers of my books for pointing out a gap in the tale that needed filling. I also love the idea of a man who has been searching for his lost love for nearly a century. There's something epic about that idea that is bigger than the novels (to me).

Have just read Diary Of The Displaced, its a stunning book and quite simply couldnt put it down. Not felt this way about a book/author since discovering Clive Barker and James Herbert. Now about to load kindle with the rest of the collection. Thank You so very much

Hi Mary,
The next book will be "The Corridor", but I haven't finished it yet. If you are interested in other books in the same setting, Chasing Spirits tells Reg Weldon's life story, and all of the other books that I have published are set in the same "universe".

I have just finished reading 'The Broken Lands' (2nd one in the series I have read) which I absolutely adored. Please can you tell me what the title of the follow up book is called so that I can purchase it?
